WPHA selects new leadership

Walt Johnson of The Lyman Group, Inc., Woodland, Calif., is the new chairman of the Western Plant Health Association.

Zoë Henderson of Dow AgroSciences, Indianapolis, Ind., is the vice chairman; Steve Gillette of Potash Corp, Rancho Murrieta, Calif., secretary/ treasurer; Bill Hume of DuPont Crop Protection, Fresno, Calif. and Kent Johnson of Ag Production Co., Turlock, Calif., as executive committee members.

Steve Mansfield of H.J. Baker and Bro., Inc., Fresno, is past chairman.

The following were elected or re-elected for three-year terms on the WPHA board of directors. Crop protection manufacturers elected were Steve Henning of BASF, Clovis, Calif., and Henderson. Brad Baltzer of J.R. Simplot, Boise, Idaho, and Kevin Kellerman of Agrium, US, Denver, Colo. were re-elected as fertilizer manufacturers/distributors. Retailer/formulators elected were Ken Burdullis of Ag Rx, Oxnard, Calif.; Steve Dugo of Mid Valley Ag, Linden, Calif.; Ralph Iliff of NH3 Service Co., Salinas; Johnson and John Salmonson of Monterey Ag Resources, Fresno.

Brian Uken of Monsanto, resigned his seat on the board of directors to accept a new position with the company Ross Winks, also of Monsanto, Roseville, Calif., replaces Uken.
