Septoria in Celery

Diseases continued to pop up despite the warm weather.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of septoria this year in celery,” Spencer said. “That’s been a real problem, especially in organic celery because those guys don’t have a lot of materials.”
Conventional growers were using standard fungicide treatments to keep the septoria fungus at bay. In addition, Spencer has been recommending products that contain predatory fungi as a rotational tool with conventional pesticides in his resistance management strategy.
“We have been using it on a lot of conventional celery because reentry is short.”
