Field crops
Cotton harvest is 98 percent complete, behind last year and the five-year average of 99 percent.
Alfalfa conditions are mostly fair to good. Harvest remains active in a few areas. Sheep are grazing and lambing on alfalfa fields.
Barley seeding is more than 80 percent complete. Durum seeding is about two-thirds complete.
Vegetable, fruit, and specialty crops
Central Arizona growers shipped bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, cilantro, kale, parsley, and citrus.
Western Arizona growers shipped arugula, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cilantro, Chinese cabbage, endive, escarole, kale, Boston, green leaf, iceberg, red leaf, and romaine lettuces. Growers also shipped parsley, radicchio, spinach, and citrus.

Temperatures were nearly normal for the week ending Jan. 15, ranging from 5 degrees below normal at Paloma, Parker, and Roll to 6 degrees above normal at Flagstaff.
The highest temperature of the week was 73 degrees at Parker. The lowest reading was 2 degrees at Grand Canyon.
Precipitation was recorded in three of the 21 weather stations.
The least amount of precipitation was recorded in the St. Johns and Coolidge areas with 0.02 inches each. The Douglas area received the most precipitation at 0.13 inches.
