All details are now finalized and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 6 for the 11th annual Desert Vegetable Workshop at the Yuma Convention Center in Yuma, Ariz.

The one-half day program is co-sponsored by the University of Arizona, University of California, Western Farm Press and Western Growers Association.

The program begins at 8 a.m. and continues until noon with presentations scheduled gaining four hours of continuing education credit approved for California and three CEUs approved for Arizona. (See program following)

The formal education program concludes at noon with a catered barbecue lunch followed by the popular forklift rodeo in the parking lot of the convention center. The forklift competition is sponsored by Western Growers Association. Winners will be awarded cash prizes.

The barbecue is being sponsored by local vegetable industry suppliers, including Bayer Corp., Booth Machinery in Yuma; Certis USA, Keithly-Williams Seeds and Western Growers Association.
