Dwarfing Rootstocks for Fresh-Market Fruit Trees
For more than 20 years UC Pomologists Ted DeJong, Scott Johnson and Kevin Day have been developing and evaluating rootstocks for use in intensive orchard systems. During this meeting they will provide a review of that work, including discussions on rootstock performance and tree physiology. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to view some of these rootstocks in various training systems for peach, nectarine and plum, including pedestrian orchards in which ladders are not necessary.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting will commence at 9 a.m. This meeting is free and all interested people are invited to attend.
For further information, please contact Kevin Day at (559) 684-3311.
