Cheminova Inc. has announced the new herbicide active ingredient pethoxamid which the company says will help growers manage herbicide-resistant weeds, including Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, and other important broadleaf and annual grass weeds.
Pethoxamid is a novel selective chloroacetamide. Classified as a Group 15 herbicide, pethoxamid inhibits the germination of target weeds. It can be applied pre-emergence or post-emergence.
