The possibility of causing phytotoxicity to the flowers of strawberries is no longer a concern.</p> <p>Powdery mildew is a problem often found on strawberry plants. If left unchecked, it can cause leaves to turn yellow and die. June 10 is new PD/GWSS referendum voting deadline <div class="node-body article-body"><p>The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has extended the voting deadline for the Pierce&rsquo;s Disease-Glassy Winged Sharpshooter (PD/GWSS) referendum to June 10.</p> <p>The extension is designed to help ensure the minimum eligible grower voting rate of 40 percent required by law is reached.&nbsp;</p> <p>CDFA will send duplicate ballots to those growers whose votes had not been returned as of May 11. The first sales of the product to U.S. growers will take place this year.</p> <p>Registration for Acuron in Arizona is expected&nbsp;in the 2015 fourth quarter. &nbsp;</p> <p>In the United States, herbicide resistance, notably to glyphosate, is increasing with infestations of broadleaf weeds in corn up 50 percent in the past four years.
