Sustainable and Organic Practices for Urban, Farm Environment, April 10, San Mateo
A Sustainable-Organic Practices for the Urban and Farm Environment seminar will be held April 10 in San Mateo, Calif.; presented by the Bay Area Chapter of the California Association of Pest Control Advisers and the Organic Fertilizer Association of California.
The 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. seminar focuses on sustainable and organic practices for plant health and nutrition in urban and farm settings.
Topics will include urban gardening-farming, urban integrated pest management, tree disease control, organics and microbes, soil amendments, the challenges of farming in an urban environment, plant disease control, and aerial imagery.
Exhibits will focus on organic and sustainable production.
CEUs are offered for Certified Crop Advisers (6.0 hours) and Pest Control Advisers (6.0 hours).
The event will be held at the Elks Lodge, 229 W. 20th Ave., San Mateo.
