The first-ever Silicon Valley AgTech Conference is May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, 3921 Fabian Way, in Palo Alto, Calif.

The event is a forum for farmers, technologists, venture capitalists, and government representatives to discuss how technology can and will affect all aspects of the farming process - from production to supply chain and distribution.

The AgTech Conference will feature presentations, expert panelists, roundtables, an AgTech speed-matching exercise, business pitches, and displays, says Roger Royse, a founder of Silicon Valley AgTech.

Students are welcome to attend and can demonstrate technology alongside participating startups at discounted prices.

Lunch is included with each admission ticket.
