Buyers and sellers of quality grapes grown in Sonoma County, Calif., will want to attend SCGGA's ninth annual Buyers and Sellers Barbecue on May 22, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., in Grace Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
“The BBQ has been very successful in bringing growers and grape buyers together. Sonoma County Grape Growers Association has been promoting Sonoma County grapes for the past 18 years and this BBQ is another of our many services to the wine growing community,” says Mark Houser, chairman for the event.
Program highlights include the SCGGA annual meeting, followed by George Daniels, Farm Employers Labor Service, who will present “Preparing for a Cal/OSHA Inspection.” Attorney Mike Saqui will discuss “Hot Topics in Labor Law.”
Then, SCGGA makes its second annual Viticultural Award of Excellence recognizing a grower who has made outstanding contributions to Sonoma County's grape growing community.
Tickets for SCGGA members are $30 each, $60 for non-members, with May 10th as the advance reservation deadline.
