A delegation from the Korea Agri-Fisheries Trade Corp. (aT) completed the two-day 2010 U.S.-Korea rice technical meeting with a tour of California's rice sector — including mill and field visits and a stop at the Rice Experiment Station. aT is the importer of rice under Korea's market access obligation to members of the World Trade Organization.

The aT team exchanged information on Korea's rice production, utilization, imports and price with a U.S. delegation, comprised of members of USA Rice's Asia technical working group. Both sides also reviewed tendering and quality issues concerning U.S. exports, and agreed to meet next year for the third annual meeting.
