Program finalized for Dec. 8 Desert Crops Workshop

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. for the 15th Annual Desert Crops Workshop scheduled Dec. 8 at the Yuma Convention Center, Yuma, Ariz.

Sponsored by the University of Arizona and University of California Cooperative Extension and Western Farm Press, there will be 18 presentations from researchers from Arizona and California associated with the University of California, University of Arizona, USDA-ARS and private industry.

The first presentation is at 8 a.m. The workshop will close with a luncheon sponsored by key agricultural suppliers.

Among the topics to be discussed are water and irrigation technology, weed control, integrated pest management, soil and plant nutrient management and geospatial tools for natural resources.

Application has been made for 3.5 CEUs for Arizona and California pest control advisers and 5.5 CEUs for Certified Crop Advisers.
