Two new studies from the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) show the cost to establish and produce pasture in Northern California.

The first study — Sample Costs to Establish and Produce Pasture, Intermountain Region — examines the costs to establish and produce pasture for hay and grazing in Lassen County. The second study — Sample Costs to Establish and Produce Pasture, North Coast — looks at pasture production for silage and grazing in Mendocino County. The North Coast study shows costs and practices typical of the coastal and inland areas of Mendocino County.
