(Kern County Agricultural Commissioner) An Asian citrus psyllid has been found near the city of Wasco in Kern County, Calif. This marks the first discovery of the pest in that county. One male Asian citrus psyllid was confirmed on Sept. 5. Because the psyllid was found in an urban trap and not located near any commercial citrus there will be no regulatory actions affecting commercial citrus operations in Kern County at this time.
