An insider’s glimpse of the wine industry will be offered Monday, April 18, by William S. “Bill” Price, owner of Durell Vineyard, during a special presentation at UC Davis’ Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science.

Price’s lecture, titled “Don’t put your name on the label: Hard earned lessons about making money in the wine business,” will be given from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the institute’s Silverado Vineyards Sensory Theater. A reception will follow.

The lecture is free and open to the public, but those planning to attend are asked to register online at: http://www.robertmondaviinstitute.ucdavis.edu/walt-klenz-lectureship or by contacting Kim Bannister at the Robert Mondavi Institute at (530) 752-5171 or kbannister@ucdavis.edu.

The presentation is part of the institute’s Walter Klenz Lecture Series, which is intended to familiarize students with the many facets of the wine business.

The series was created and is sponsored by Treasury Wine Estates (formerly Beringer Blass Wine Estates) through the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology, in honor of former Beringer Chief Executive Officer Walt Klenz and his many contributions to the wine industry.
