The California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will offer the new Federal and California State Laws & Regulations Course on Oct. 3 at Wine & Roses in Lodi. The four-hour course becomes a new licensing requirement from the Office of Real Estate Appraisers (OREA) beginning Jan. 1, 2013.
The course takes appraisers through a review of the current laws and regulations that apply to appraisers and appraisal practice, as well as those that apply to Appraisal Management Companies (AMC’s). It is intended to meet the continuing education requirements of the OREA as they now require proof of one four-hour Federal and California statutory and regulatory law course included in the 56 hours of CE required in every four-year renewal period. The course will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Federal and California State Laws & Regulations will be offered in conjunction with the California Chapter’s Annual Fall Meeting. An interactive Dairy Update Seminar that includes both a facility tour and classroom session will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4.
