Organic-Sustainable Production Seminar, Dec. 18, Calistoga
An all-day seminar on the sustainable and organic production of wine grapes will be held Dec. 18 at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga, Calif.
Topics will include an include an update by the Napa Ag Commissioner; plus discussions on vineyard disease control, bio-pesticides, micronutrient use, compost benefits, vertebrae control, and vineyard nutrition; plus a panel of leading vineyard managers.
The seminar is presented by the California Association of Pest Control Advisers, CAPCA’s North Coast Chapter, and the Organic Fertilizer Association of California.
Exhibitors will provide information on products for sustainable and certified organic production.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the fairgrounds’ Butler Pavilion located at 1435 N. Oak St. in Calistoga.
CEUs are offered for Certified Crop Advisers (6.0 hours) and licensed Department of Pesticide Professionals (5.5 hours).
