Organic seminar for urban and ag, Nov. 21, Vallejo
The Sustainable and Organic Practices in Urban and Ag Settings Seminar will be held Nov. 21 in Vallejo, Calif.
The event will focus on sustainable and organic practices for plant health and nutrition in urban and agricultural settings.
Topics will include: an update on water quality regulations; a local agricultural regulation update by the Napa and Solano Agriculture Departments; and helping honey bees.
Concurrent sessions will be held on organic practices and pest management.
Exhibits will include businesses with accepted products for organic and sustainable production.
CEUs are offered for certified crop advisers (5.5 hours), licensed pest control advisers (6.0 hours), certified arborist (2.5 hours), and golf course superintendents (.55 education points).
The event is presented by the California Association of Pest Control Advisers and the Organic Fertilizer Association of California.
The event will be held at the Foley Cultural Center located at 1461 N Camino Alto, Vallejo, Calif. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
