New online citrus disease management CEU available

Farm Press has launched its newest online continuing education course accredited for licensed agricultural professionals.

It is accredited for 1.0 hours of “Other” credit by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. It is also accredited for Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) continuing education units.

It is free and accessible via pentonag.com. It is the 25th online CEU course available from Farm Press/Penton Media.

The course, Disease Management in Citrus Orchards in California, Florida and Texas, details six of the primary diseases affecting citrus: Huanglongbing (Citrus Greening); Citrus Canker; Citrus Tristeza Virus (CVT); Leprosis; Citrus Variegated Chlorosis (CVC); Citrus Stubborn Disease.

Information on each disease includes history, epidemiology, symptoms, diagnosis and management.

There are 20 comprehensive review questions at the conclusion of the course. A score of 70 is required to earn credit. Farm Pressreports hour completions to the DPR.

The new citrus course also is accredited for CE hours in Texas and Florida.
