In the California walnut industry’s first ever continuation referendum, a whopping 95 percent of eligible growers voting and a represention of 93 percent of the volume said yes to extend the measure. The referendum passed with about a 30-percent cushion as at least two-thirds of eligible producers were required to approve the measure.
