Nutrient Issues Conference, Oct. 29-30, Modesto

The Western Plant Health Association (WPHA) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Fertilizer Research Education Program (FREP) will conduct a joint Nutrient Issues Conference Oct. 29-30 in Modesto, Calif.

The conference called “Managing Agricultural Nutrients: Challenges, Opportunities and the Future” will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel.

Topics will include upcoming resources, crop fertilization guidelines, irrigation and nitrogen management, and more.

The conference will include a live demonstration about fertigation injection and irrigation equipment to close out the first day.

Registration is $175 per person. Onsite registration is subject to a $2 processing fee.

The seminar has been approved for 4.5 CCA CEUs for Oct. 29 and 3 CCA CEUs for Oct. 30, plus 4.5 PCA CEUs for Oct. 29 and 1.5 PCA CEUs for Oct. 30

WPHA will hold two additional seminars in November. On Nov.13, WPHA will hold a Nutrient Management and Professional Development Seminar at the Holiday Inn Capital Plaza in downtown Sacramento. This conference will include segments on time management and resources available to consultants and has been approved for 6.5 PCA CEUs and 5.5 CCA CEUs.

The second joint Nutrient Management Seminar with FREP will be at the Paso Robles Inn in Paso Robles, Calif. Nov. 20. This conference will focus on FREP research and resources specific to the Central Coast and has been approved for 5.0 PCA CEUs and 5.5 CCA CEUs.
