California wheat stocks up

Stocks of wheat in California on Dec. totaled 338,000 tons, 2 percent above the 329,000 tons on hand a year earlier. U.S. stocks of all wheat totaled 33.8 million tons, 14 percent below a year ago.

Barley stocks in California on December 1, 2007 totaled 17,800 tons, 54 percent below a year earlier. U.S. barley stocks, at 3.24 million tons, were 22 percent below the December 1, 2006 total.

Off-farm stocks of corn in California totaled 377,000 tons on Dec. 1, 20 percent above a year earlier. U.S. stocks of corn in all positions totaled 288 million tons.
