Far West Equipment Dealers Association appoints 2008-2009 Board of Directors

The 2008-2009 Board of Directors of the Far West Equipment Dealers Association (FWEDA) was appointed at the group’s annual meeting in Phoenix, Ariz.

The FWEDA represents over 500 members of agricultural, rental, outdoor power and industrial equipment dealers in the seven Western states including California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Hawaii.

The officers include:

President - Lynne Bese, Magnum Equipment, Stockton, Calif.;

1st Vice President - Matthew Hester, Torrence's Farm Implement, Heber, Calif.;

2nd Vice President - Jason Behrend, Greenline Equipment, Salt Lake City, Utah

Past President - Tim Riley, Midland Tractor Co., Madera, Calif.;

National Director - Blaine Bingham, Bingham Equipment, Mesa, Ariz.; and

Executive Vice President - Steven Kost, Far West Equipment Dealers Association, Dixon, Calif.

The ABCs of MRLs

American agriculture exports 20 to 30 percent of its production annually. For specific commodities, the percentage is much higher. When recommending and applying pest management products for crops, license Pest Control Advisers (PCAs)  and applicators and farmers must be aware of which products applied are in compliance with Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) established by foreign customers. This CE course details the MRL issue and why compliance is critical to marketing into world trade.
