World Ag Expo introduces electronic registration for 2008

World Ag Expo will be one of the first agricultural expositions to introduce attendee registration for the 2008 expo, scheduled for Feb. 12-14 in Tulare, Calif.

The new electronic registration system will allow attendees to preregister online before they arrive at the expo grounds. Registrants will be asked a short set of questions surveying their demographic background. After completing this brief questionnaire, a confirmation page can immediately be printed and an official admittance badge will be mailed directly to the attendee. This badge will act as a fast-pass to World Ag Expo as well as admittance to West Coast Nationals Power Pulling Series and entry into the 2008 Dodge truck giveaway. Those who preregister will also receive a discounted ticket price.

World Ag Expo will work with CompuSystems (CSI), an electronic registration company that designs and implements registration systems at major trade shows across the country. CompuSystems has been the leading trade show registration and lead retrieval service provider to the exposition industry since 1976.

“We are very confident in the level of service CompuSystems will provide our show and exhibitors, and the confidentiality and security they will give to every attendee who registers. World Ag Expo is the place where agriculture means business and does serious business. Knowing who our customers are is critical to providing them with products and services they need to improve their operations,” said Jerry Sinift, general manager of the International Agri-Center.

Information collected will be held by the expo and access may be provided to investing exhibitors for use in contacting customers about new products and services. However, exhibitors who purchase a bar code scanner can also ask attendees if they’re interested in more information from the company and can directly scan the attendees’ information into their expo follow-up list.

The nature of agricultural production is so diverse that knowing who is attending the show and what they’re looking for will help our exhibitors better serve their needs,” said Shelley Khal, 2008 World Ag Expo chairman.

Preregistration begins online Nov. 15 at http://www.worldagexpo.com/. Those who preregister will receive a host of special offers in addition to receiving a discounted ticket.

Expo attendees who have not preregistered online will simply complete their form at an on-site computer kiosk staffed by CompuSystems professionals and expo volunteers. An admittance badge will be printed at the gate.
