Christian assumes new role with Strawberry Commission

Chris Christian California Strawberry Commission's new vice president, trade and nutrition. She assumes this senior leadership position to provide administrative oversight, in addition to her existing responsibilities for the trade relations and nutrition department.
Christian has been with the commission since 2003, leading programs in trade relations and nutrition research. She is a produce industry veteran with over 20 years experience in food and agricultural industries. Prior to joining the CSC, she spent 10 years with Fresh Express in a range of management positions from quality/R&D to marketing/business management.
She holds an MS in Food Science and BS in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists (past Chair of Fruit & Vegetable Products Division), the American Dietetic Association and California Women for Agriculture.
