Corn and soybean farmers were enjoying record-high prices until a few weeks ago. Once harvest began, some of the sizzle went out of the market. Dr. Chad Hart discussed the changing fundamentals in the grain markets at Iowa State University’s Integrated Crop Management Conference. While the markets have softened, they still offer an opportunity for growers to price their 2013 crops at a profitable level, according to Hart.
