UPI requests cancellation of EPA registration for Maneb

United Phosphorus, Inc., premier supplier of post-patent crop protection technologies, has submitted to EPA a request to voluntarily cancel all Maneb registrations.

Due to a variety of regulatory reasons, UPI will not be supporting the re-registration of Maneb. UPI plans to produce Maneb until the end of 2008.

There is a petition pending at EPA to add several crops to mancozeb labels that had previously been served by Maneb, such as lettuce and peppers.
