Toyota and Blue-Jacketed members of the Central and San Joaquin FFA Regions are collaborating on a unique program to support FFA programs in more than 130 High Schools in the two valley regions.
The $30,000 grand prize truck is a new 2009 Toyota Tundra Double Cab SR5 4 x 2 with 5.7L V8 engine, donated by Toyota. The winning Tundra ticket will be drawn during the final day of World Ag Expo. Funds raised from the giveaway will go directly to benefit FFA chapters in the Central and San Joaquin Regions.
The drawing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Toyota exhibit area.
Tickets for the giveaway are available for a donation of $5 each through various FFA chapters within the two regions, on the new World Ag Expo Website, worldagexpo.com, and from FFA members at each entry gate during World Ag Expo.
The donations support ongoing programs and activities of FFA chapters in more than 130 High Schools within the Central Valley. There are an estimated 33,000 students member in the Central and San Joaquin FFA Regions. “Toyota’s gesture is a real help in supporting FFA students and projects in our area,” says San Joaquin Regional Supervisor Ken Harris.
“We’re pleased to support the ongoing activities and programs of the San Joaquin Region FFA, “ says Toyota San Francisco Region Truck Manager Jason Whitmire. “These young people are the cornerstone of California’s agricultural future, and if we can help by donating this Tundra, we know that future will be bright.”
The truck winner need not be present to win. The winner will be responsible for taxes, license, transportation from dealership and registration of the vehicle. For a complete listing of the terms and conditions associated with the contest visit worldagexpo.com.
