World Ag Expo is less than a week away.
The 43rd annual farm show at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, Calif., Feb. 9-11 is expected to attract 100,000 people from 67 countries.
There will be more than 1,600 exhibitors nestled in 2.6 million square feet of show grounds.
To alleviate traffic congestion, attendees and exhibitors can use the free Park & Ride with shuttle service to Expo grounds. Shuttles operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from: Preferred Outlets at Tulare, Prosperity and Highway 99, Tulare; Tulare Airport, Avenue 200 and Highway 99, Tulare; Tulare County Fairgrounds, 851 S. O Street, Tulare; Mid-Valley Cotton Gin, 21978 Road 36, Tulare and First Assembly of God Church, 3737 S. Akers St., Visalia.
Attendees can donate $5 to valley FFA chapters for a chance to win a $30,000 grand prize Toyota Tundra. FFA members will be stationed at the 10 entrance gates at the expo selling tickets to the giveaway.
Attendees will also be able to participate in free seminars. Each day has a different seminar emphasis. International trade, dairy and forage seminars will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9, General ag, beef and dairy seminars will be held on Wednesday and irrigation, education and more dairy seminars are scheduled for Thursday. World Ag Expo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the closing day.
