The California Wheat Commission has launched its redesigned website at www.californiawheat.org.
Original, updated, and new information has been incorporated into the newly designed site, which is organized by three main target audiences: growers, industry, and consumers.
In the grower section, information includes agronomic information, commission-funded wheat research information, market and weather information, California wheat statistics, seed dealer directories, and other valuable grower resources.
The industry section explains the domestic, export, and feed markets for California-grown wheat. Visitors to the site will find information and reports on California crop quality, variety surveys, classes of U.S. wheat, U.S. grades and grade requirements for wheat, and directories of California wheat exporters.
The consumers section consists mainly of newly added materials for teachers, students, and consumers. It includes access to the Wheat Foods Council’s Wheat Food and Nutrition-related fact sheets and updated educational materials based upon teacher resource packets and lesson plans.
There are also main sections that describe more about the California Wheat Commission, the Milling & Baking Laboratory, and the California Association of Wheat Growers.
The Resources section has directories and links. The News/Info section has an archive of the news items announced on the homepage and available through an RSS feed.
