- The annual research conference of the California Leafy Greens Research Board will be held near Coalinga, Calif., on March 20, 2012. The conference will be held at the Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant located at I-5 and Highway 198 East (24505 West Dorris Ave, Coalinga, Calif., 93210).
Chairperson Sig Christierson has announced the annual research conference of the California Leafy Greens Research Board to be held near Coalinga, Calif., on March 20, 2012. The conference will be held at the Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant located at I-5 and Highway 198 East (24505 West Dorris Ave, Coalinga, Calif., 93210).
You are invited to attend this day-long conference. This event provides an opportunity for researchers to present the results of their work to the leafy greens industry. A tentative schedule with the subjects of the researchers’ projects is attached to this notice. We encourage interaction between researchers and industry representatives during the lunch break and during the reception which will follow the last presentation.
To register for the meeting, please fill out the attached attendance sheet. Return it along with a check to the Board office. Our deadline for RSVP’s is March 12, 2012. If you have other colleagues joining you, please make note of it on the RSVP. It is important that we have an accurate count. A receipt for the registration fee will be available the day of the meeting when you pick up your name tag and meal ticket.
If you plan to stay at the Harris Ranch Inn, the room rate for the meeting is $120.00 per night, single or double. The government rate is $84.00 and proper ID is necessary to qualify for this rate. Once again, we are offering meeting sponsorships to support our efforts to continue to hold these meetings on a regular basis. Sponsorships are available for $500.00. If your company is interested in being a sponsor, please contact this office. We will gratefully acknowledge your participation as part of the opening remarks for the morning and afternoon sessions and on the meeting agenda distributed the day of the meeting. Tables will be available in the lobby area if you wish to provide handouts, company brochures, etc.
