The 16th annual Arizona Ag Forum sponsored by the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will be held Feb. 24 in Tempe, Ariz. at the Salt River Project’s Pera Club.
The forum features experts speaking on the Arizona agriculture economy and real estate market.
The morning session will feature Jay Butler who will discuss Arizona’s overall real estate market. Attorney William Staudenmaier of Snell & Wilmer will discuss Arizona groundwater rights.
Mark Hays of the Salt River Project will talk about Arizona groundwater well sites. James McCandless of UBS AgriVest, LLC, will discuss institutional interest in Arizona agriculture.
Afternoon panel sessions will focus on Arizona agriculture land market activity. ASFMRA Arizona farmland experts will present land market trends for Maricopa, Pinal, and Yuma counties, plus trends in southeastern Arizona and California’s Imperial Valley.
Commodity trends will be presented for dairy, ranching, and citrus, plus trends in water availability. Arizona farm land sale prices and land rents will be discussed.
The Arizona Ag Forum will be held at the Pera Club located at 1 East Continental Drive, Tempe, Ariz. 85281 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $110 per person or $400 for a sponsorship. Space is limited. Registration is not accepted at the door.
