Outlook talks to focus on water and credit

The California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will present its 2002 Spring Ag Outlook Forum on Wednesday, April 17 at the Visalia Convention Center/Radisson Hotel in Visalia.
The theme of the conference is California Agriculture…Standing Strong with America. The full day forum will feature key industry experts leading panel discussions on California's current water issues and credit and finance. The chapter's highly acclaimed Trends in Agricultural Land and Lease Values for 2002 will be distributed during the land values presentation, which will cover the trends in land values throughout the state.
Each year, the California Chapter honors one individual who has made significant contributions to the betterment of California agriculture as its Distinguished Agriculturalist. The chapter is pleased to name Deran Koligain as the 2002 recipient. Koligian passed away in December 2001. He served as the District One representative on the Fresno County Board of Supervisors for two decades and is remembered as a man of great determination and dedication that worked tirelessly for Fresno County and agriculture. The award will be presented during the luncheon portion of the conference.
The 2002 Spring Ag Outlook is one of the most informative annual gatherings for agriculturists in the state and is open to the public. Cost is $115 for ASFMRA members and $140 for non-members.
