Outback S field guidance offered

Jun 2, 2001 12:00 PM

RHS, Inc., continues its expansion of Outback Field Guidance by introducing the Outback S, a GPS based field guidance system.

The Outback S solves many of the problems associated with standard light bars. It makes field guidance easier to use, resulting in more accurate driving and it's affordable for nearly all farmers.

Standard light bars show the driving error only after the error has been made. The Steering Guide on the Outback S shows the steering action necessary to stay on line at all times. This “forward looking” feature means less operator fixation on the display and more accurate driving, even by novice users.

Farmers can use the Outback S for more accurate tillage, spraying, spreading and seeding operations.

The ABCs of MRLs

American agriculture exports 20 to 30 percent of its production annually. For specific commodities, the percentage is much higher. When recommending and applying pest management products for crops, license Pest Control Advisers (PCAs)  and applicators and farmers must be aware of which products applied are in compliance with Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) established by foreign customers. This CE course details the MRL issue and why compliance is critical to marketing into world trade.
