Lodi appellation grape study ready

A new cost-of-production study for wine grapes grown in the Lodi appellation of the northern San Joaquin Valley is now available from University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE).
The study is based upon a hypothetical farm using viticultural practices common in the region. Input and reviews were provided by UC farm advisors, researchers and local growers. It shows current per acre costs to establish and produce wine grapes with an emphasis on the Cabernet Sauvignon variety.
Sample Costs to Establish a Vineyard and Produce Wine Grapes is available from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of California, One Shields Avenue, Davis, CA 95616 and from local UC Cooperative Extension offices. The study also can be downloaded from the department Web site at http://coststudies.ucdavis.edu.
