Cotton growers are invited to get the latest information during a late season cotton workshop on Aug. 27 at the Parker Elks Lodge in Parker, Ariz.
The 9:00 a.m. to noon event will include presentations on:
9:00 a.m. — “Lygus as a regional pest of multiple crops and new approaches for management,” — Dr. Peter Ellsworth, integrated pest management specialist, University of Arizona (UA).
9:30 a.m. — “Late season irrigation strategies” — Ed Martin, UA irrigation specialist.
10:00 a.m. — “Weed thresholds and herbicide resistance in cotton” — Bill McCloskey, UA weed specialist.
10:45 a.m. — “Update on Arizona Pink Bollworm Eradication Program” — Larry Antilla, Arizona Cotton Research and Protection Council.
11:15 a.m. — “Industry product label updates” by Martin Reid — DuPont, Greg Miller — Nichino America, and Craig Pauly — BASF.
Noon — Lunch
