• 9:15 - The relationship between irrigation efficiency and field geometry, field condition, and inflow rate into the irrigated field with emphasis on the need for accurate flow measurement - Eduardo Bautista, U.S. Arid Lands Agricultural Research Center, USDA-ARS, Maricopa, Ariz.;

• 9:30 - Flow measurement in irrigation canals using flumes with emphasis on flume selection from predesigned alternatives, installation site selection, installation, and field evaluation - John Replogle, Arid Lands Agricultural Research Center, Maricopa; • 9:45 - Usage of an Excel worksheet as a quick reference tool in flume selection, construction, installation, and evaluation in irrigation canals - Dawit Zerihun, UA Assistant Research Scientist; • 10:00 - Field demonstration of flume installation site selection, field measurements, installation, and evaluation at a selected farm.
