Tom Kimmell, executive director of the Irrigation Association for 12 years, announced he is retiring as of February 2007.

Kimmell announced his retirement plans during the 26th Annual International Irrigation Show in Phoenix. Kimmell has attended all 26 irrigation shows, including the last 12 as executive director and one as president of the IA in 1992.
