Fruit Tree Workshop March 21, Los Lunas

A free fruit tree workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Los Lunas science center, 1036 Miller Road, Los Lunas. Following the workshop there will be a tour of the center's orchard. The workshop is limited to 40 participants.

Presentations will be made by Tess Grasswitz, NMSU Integrated Pest Management specialist; Shengrui Yao, NMSU fruit specialist; and Joran Viers, Bernalillo County Extension director and agricultural agent.

Topics will include pest management for tree fruit crops, tree fruit cultivar selection and management of tree fruit: plant nutrition and irrigation.
