Food Safety for Farmers Meeting July 9, Escondido

The Food Safety for Farmers meeting will be held Monday,  July 9, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the San Diego County Farm Bureau, Escondido.

Produce buyers (wholesale markets, distributors, restaurants, schools, grocery stores, etc.) are increasingly expecting their suppliers to have a formal, documented food safety program for their farms.  This workshop will help farmers selling to these buyers, understand their food safety requirements and establish a documented food safety program.
