The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has published a new, comprehensive guide on the state's pesticide regulatory system.

“Regulating Pesticides: The California Story” is a 125-page history and overview of pesticide regulation. “DPR conducts the most comprehensive, rigorous state pesticide regulatory program in the United States, and we receive national and international recognition for our work,” said DPR Director Paul E. Helliker. “This new publication is part of our continuing commitment to make California's pesticide regulatory process more easily understood and accessible to the public.”

The guide will be available for downloading free of charge from DPR's Web site www.cdpr.ca.gov.
