CTFA names president

The Control Committee of the California Tree Fruit Agreement has voted unanimously to hire Blair Richardson as the new president of the California Tree Fruit Agreement.

Richardson was selected after a five-month search. He will replace Jonathan Field who announced his resignation in October after 20 years of leading the marketing order programs for fresh peaches, plums and nectarines.

Richardson has a strong background in marketing with emphasis on international trade and expertise in agricultural economics. Most recently, Richardson has been employed by AgEx, a San Francisco-based trade consulting company focused on the use of eCommerce for the food industry.

“We are very excited to have Blair as the new president of CTFA, we have been fortunate to have had great leadership in the past and have no doubt that Blair will continue that tradition,” said Dennis Parnagian who chaired the search committee.
