Crop Stress-Irrigation Efficiency Seminar, March 27, Monterey

Hortau will host a free Crop Stress Management and Irrigation Efficiency Seminar March 27, from 12-2 p.m. at the Monterey County Farm Bureau office in Salinas, Calif.

Irrigation management consultants will discuss how monitoring soil tension with real-time data can help farmers improve growing conditions and increase irrigation efficiency.

Hortau will discuss crop research that agronomist Jean Caron and his team have gathered over the years including information on lettuce tipburn, strawberries, and almonds.

On display will be Hortau’s WEB TX3 irrigation management station, which with its newly upgraded Irrolis 3 software, makes it simple for growers to track available water in real time.

A free barbecue lunch will be served at the event.

The Farm Bureau office is located at 931 Blanco Circle, Salinas.
