Arizona's Sharp re-elected American Cotton Producers chair

Clyde Sharp, a Roll, Ariz., cotton producer, was re-elected as chairman of the American Cotton Producers (ACP) of the National Cotton Council for 2013, during the NCC’s annual meeting on Feb. 8-10.

Sharp, who has served on and chaired various ACP and NCC committees, is a past president of The Cotton Foundation and Cotton Council International, the NCC’s export promotion arm.

Elected as an ACP vice chairman was Ted Schneider, Lake Providence, La.. Re-elected as ACP vice chairmen were K. Michael Tate, Huntsville, Ala., and Barry W. Evans, Kress, Texas.

Elected as a NCC producer director was Bowen Flowers, Clarksdale, MS, representing the Mid-South region. Re-elected as NCC producer directors were:  Allen McLaurin, Laurel Hill, N.C., representing the Southeast region; Michael J. Alexander of Colorado City, Texas, from the Southwest region; and Donald J. Cameron, Helm, Calif., from the Western region. Clyde Sharp will serve as the at-large NCC producer director.
