Corn and cotton planting begins

Silage wheat harvest has begun in Tulare County, Calif., with growth now well into the boot stage for optimum nutrition.

Seedbed preparation continues for the planting of corn and cotton. Corn planting is under way and will gather momentum for the weeks ahead.

Cotton is also being planted and will increase as soil temperatures continue to warm.

The first alfalfa hay is being cut for silage in the county. All grains and alfalfa are benefiting from warm weather.
