Chemtura Corporation has launched abamectin-based Temprano to supplement its line of miticide products.

Providing quick knockdown and long residual properties, Temprano's active ingredient, abamectin, is one of the most valuable active miticides on the market. Effective on more than 40 crops, including tree fruit, vine and vegetables, Temprano is a reliable partner with Chemtura's existing line of miticides.

“The preventative positioning of Temprano is complementary to our other hard-working miticide products,” stated J.R. Abele, regional sales manager for Chemtura. “With the addition of Temprano, we now have the early season solution to control building mite populations.”

Temprano can be used alone or as part of a program with other miticides. Its emulsifiable concentrate formulation is compatible with many commonly used pesticides, crop oils, and nutritional sprays.

Most effective when used as an early preventative spray to control mites for tree fruit, vine, and vegetable crops, Temprano controls two-spotted spider mites, European red mites, thrips and leafminers. The miticide has translaminar action.

Spray coverage must be thorough and optimum spray volumes will vary depending on crop and density of foliage.
