The California Grape & Tree Fruit League (CGTFL) will hold an industry workshop on May 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Sequoia Room of the Visalia Convention Center, 303 E. Acequia Ave., Visalia, Calif.
The purpose of the event is for CGTFL members to better understand Canadian bilingual labeling requirements and item level marking requests that have been generated by retailers.
Sally Blackman, Canadian Produce Marketing Association, will address the topic of bilingual labeling requirements for consumer packaging.
Gary Fleming, Produce Marketing Association, will discuss: item level marking at the individual item level, as well as at the bag, clamshell and package level; and the Produce Traceability Initiative.
Each presentation will be delivered via a webinar format and will last approximately 30 minutes followed by a 15-minute question and answer period.
There is no charge for CGTFL members to attend. The cost for non-League members is $20 per person. Space is limited to the first 100 guests who sign up.
