Country music recording group Carolina Rain will headline the Saturday night (April 18) dinner and concert at this year’s California Antique Farm Equipment Show at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, Calif.

Carolina Rain's debut album, Weather the Storm, introduced the band's tight vocal harmonies. The three-member group, of Rhean Boyer, Jeremy Baxter and Marvin Evatt, received strong reviews for both their three-part harmony and musicianship and writing skills.

The following singles: I Ain't Scared, Get Outta My Way and Isn't She, have made the group one of the brightest new acts in Nashville, and earned the group its first-ever awards nomination in 2008, from the Academy of Country Music for Top New Duo or Vocal Group.

Tickets for the Carolina Rain concert and steak dinner are $30.Tickets are available by calling the show office at (559) 688-1030 or can be purchased online at antiquefarmshow.org.

On Sunday at the 17th annual California Antique Farm Equipment Show, barbecues will light up at 10 a.m. on the show grounds for the 6th Annual Rib Cook-Off, presented by Cool Hand Luke’s Steakhouse in Tulare.

“I always hear people say they think they barbecue the best ribs,” said Kent Foreman, rib cook-off chairman. “We’re going to test those cooking abilities, and let some rib-hungry judges decide who truly makes the ultimate beef and pork ribs.”

Entries are limited to 30 per category: beef and pork. The winners of each category win $1,000. Second place takes home $500, and third place receives $250 each.
