The Western Growers/C. H. Robinson Transportation Program was established in 2006 in order to influence the availability of equipment (capacity), service levels (delivery time and reliability) and rates. “It is specifically designed for shippers to enable them to respond to increasing customer requests for delivered terms of sale, including transportation,” said Matt McInerney, executive vice president, Western Growers. “There is no cost or volume commitment to participate in this turnkey program that now has more than 350 shippers using its services. Bottom line, it is an innovative benefit that shippers should explore.”
