CAPCA Conference Oct. 19-21 in Anaheim

The 34th annual California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA) Conference and Agri-Expo will be held on Oct. 19-21 in Anaheim, Calif. at the Disneyland Hotel.

This year’s theme is “CAPCA: Green Zone.” More than 1,000 licensed Pest Control Advisers (PCAs) will be attending this year’s conference.

The CAPCA conference features Monday and Tuesday morning General Sessions which are filled with professional speakers who will discuss a wide array of topics affecting the pest management industry. Key Monday presenters are Eric Wintemute, chair, Crop Life America and CEO of American Vanguard Corporation; William Whitacre, president, J.R. Simplot Agribusiness Group; Jennifer Ralston, Monsanto Company; and Damian Mason — luncheon keynote speaker. Tuesday presenters will be Bob Dowell, California Department of Food and Agriculture, discussing the Light Brown Apple Moth; Sharon Bomer EVP Food & Agriculture-Biotechnology Industry Organization; Dan Dooley, vice president, University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources; and Bruce Vincent, logger and environmentalist.

CAPCA’s annual conference will once again have extensive breakout sessions designed to meet the needs of the pest control advisers in their specific areas. These “breakout” categories, which will be held Monday afternoon, include IPM, Turf & Ornamental and PCA category exam prep breakout sessions.

Also the conference features a professional Agri-Expo tradeshow, a Career Opportunity Room, and much more. Conference registration is on-line at www.capca.com/conference.
